Q: How do I book a function?

A: You can ring us on 08 9430 4653, fax us on 08 9430 4143 or email us on info@fremantlefunctioncentre.com.au - or submit the Booking Enquiry Form via our website.

Q: What technical facilities does the function centre offer?

A: The centre has just recently been refurbished and modernised offering modern AV facilities, a retractable big screen (3m x 3m), a ceiling-mounted projector, multiple connection points for laptops around the function room, ceiling speakers, iPod/Laptop/CD/DVD/TV/VCR compatibility, a lectern with 2 high quality ‘interviewing’ microphones, roving microphone, adjustable lighting and in-house PA system, portable stage 5m x 2m which can be converted to a catwalk and a white board.

Q: Does the Function Centre have food and drinks packages?

A: No, the centre does not have food and drinks packages. However we can run a bar tab for you, which is payable at the end of your function or, alternatively, you can run a cash bar.

Q: Does the Function Centre have a preferred caterer?

A: Yes, our caterer - Numero Uno - has first option on catering for functions at the Club. They can be contacted directly on 9339 0199. The function centre has a fully equipped commercial kitchen so all food is prepared directly at our premises.

Q: How many people can the Function Centre accommodate?

A: The centre has three separate function rooms (Griff John, Legends and W J Hughes), and can accommodate up to 600 people, depending on the setup (i.e. cocktail, sit down, theatre, etc.). Please contact us with your requirements and will find the best setting for you.

Q: Which days are not available to book a function?

A: Generally, the centre is available on any day except Christmas Day and Good Friday. Please contact us to see if your preferred date is still available.

Q: What are the security requirements?

A: Most large functions require at least one licensed crowd controller. The centre arranges the security (at a discounted rate), but payment is the responsibility of the hirer.

Q: What are the music options?

A: The function centre has a large stage in the Griff John Room suitable for a band, DJ or juke box. There is also a modern audio visual system which includes laptop connections (the centre does not provide a laptop), large (3m x 3m) screen, ceiling - mounted projector, and connections for iPod, CD, DVD, radio and TV. The speakers are in the ceiling.

Q: Is there a microphone?

A: Yes, there is a lectern with microphone, and also a portable hand held microphone.

Q: Can we BYO drinks?

A: No, the centre is a fully licensed venue. We have an extensive Wine and Beer list, which is available on our website.

Q: Can we BYO soft drinks?

A: No, the Club has a full range of soft drinks available, as well as fruit juice and water.

Q: Are there tea and coffee facilities?

A: Yes. Urns can be set up, and you can provide your own tea and coffee, or the Club can cater for a fee.

Q: Can we decorate the hall?

A: Yes, you can decorate on the day of the function. But please remember that what you put up at the start must come down at the end of the event. Unfortunately we cannot allow confetti, glitter or party poppers.

Q: Can we pay our venue hire fee and bar tab on account?

A: No. The hire fee is payable prior to the function, and the all other outstanding amounts (bar tab, etc.) must be paid at the end of the event.

Q: Where can we park?

A: The function centre offers free parking for attendees of large functions. Please contact us to enquire if your guests are able to park within our premises. If not, car parks and street parking are in close vicinity of the centre.

Q: Can we have our function outside?

A: Yes, all three function rooms have the possibility to open up to the outside area overlooking historic Fremantle Oval.

The centre is easily accessible via road, train or bus from all Perth metropolitan areas and for guests of major functions we are happy to offer free parking at our premises.
